You guys have been busy, and we have now moved in to the 4th block. This means that it is harder to mine PIPs using Fruitlab now and the total amount you can get by mining activity is reduced. This block is of course significantly larger, and will last a lot longer. It is also worth remembering that once listed, the PIP’s value can reflect the increased difficulty in attaining it. Keep up the good work!
Game developer 2K, responsible for the NBA 2K franchise, are working with the NFL to launch a blockchain game titled NFL Rivals. It is unclear at the moment how exactly the game will work, but what is clear is that the player will take on the role of General Manager. It is an exciting development to see such a large title using NFT’s and the blockchain for new games and experiences. Maybe Fruitlab should get involved soon…
We have recently seen a number of large tech companies embracing the Metaverse — but why and what does it mean? We stumbled across this really interesting and balanced piece from the Financial Times, exploring current and future plans for integration in to the latest iteration of the internet.
Elsewhere, there is further adoption of Cryptocurrencies and their services. PayPal have expanded their feature set on their crypto app. It is great news for Paypal’s increasing number of crypto adopters that new features are coming so rapidly to it’s app.
And finally, a US bill has been drafted, looking at incorporating crypto in to the financial system. In what would be a huge step for adoption, it aims to regulate and help provide the most reliable crypto assets available. It may not be adopted soon but it is a great first step.
